The structure

Every Norrdex module is built upon a robust skeleton, constructed from hot-rolled steel profiles. This sturdy framework ensures that your module will stand the test of time, providing enjoyment for generations to come.

The floor and ceiling, crafted from concrete, lend further stability to the module. This enduring construction guarantees that your module will retain its fresh appearance for many years, just as it did on the day of installation.

Facade construction

The facade of each module is composed of three distinct layers:
  1. The outer core:    This forms the external shell of your module.
  2. The centre core:  This provides insulation for your module.
  3. The inner core:      This constitutes the internal shell of your module.

These layers can be fully customized to suit your preferences. You have the freedom to select from a range of exterior finishes, insulation packages, and interior finishes. Your choices can be tailored based on the module’s location or the intended function of the interior space.

Window & door frames

At Norrdex, we exclusively utilize top-tier aluminum for our window and door frames. These frames are designed with a slim profile to maximize your view, while also offering superior insulation. This combination ensures optimal enjoyment of your surroundings for years to come, all with minimal maintenance.

 Roof finish

Roofing materials are subjected to the elements throughout the year. Factors such as UV radiation, thermal fluctuations, and mechanical stressors (including wind, cold, rain, snow, and ice) can place a significant burden on these materials, causing many roof waterproofing systems to deteriorate rapidly. However, RESITRIX® EPDM stands apart from the rest. Owing to its unique product characteristics, this roofing material is designed to withstand these challenges with ease, providing a durable roof covering that can effortlessly last for half a century.

Installations

Your choice of on-grid or off-grid configuration comes with a variety of standard installations. For instance, our off-grid modules come equipped with a separation toilet. We also provide a solar package complemented by a backup generator to ensure your battery pack stays charged. For your cooking needs, a gas stove powered by a gas bottle is included, along with a 20-liter hot water boiler.

Where are the Norrdex Modules manufactured?

The High Coast of Sweden

Nestled in the picturesque northern region of Sweden, known as ‘The High Coast of Sweden’, the Norrdex modules are a testament to the beauty of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. This area serves not only as the birthplace of Norrdex modules, but also as a haven for tourists seeking diverse winter sports and summer hiking and biking adventures.

What is the origin of the materials being used?

Conscious, sustainable and responsibly sourced materials

At Norrdex, sustainability is not just an option, it’s a fundamental principle. Our commitment to sustainability begins with our design philosophy. We aim to create structures that will endure for decades, maximizing the lifespan of the materials used. We strive to optimize the use of each material, using the least amount possible while still achieving the best results. We always opt for the most sustainable variant of any material we use.

In the case of a Norrdex Module, we use steel, specifically X-Carb steel - currently the most sustainable variant, for the framework. The profiling has been meticulously chosen for optimal use.

The concrete we use is minimal, serving the purpose of long-term stability, sound insulation, and thermal storage. We use Low Carb CEMIII concrete for this purpose.

The construction wood we use is sourced from Scandinavian forests and carries PFC and PEFC certifications, attesting to its sustainable origins.

The Norrdex Modules are supplied with a sustainability certificate from which the complete origin of all materials used can be found and to which the individual certificates from suppliers have been added.

To which countries are the modules delivered?

At Norrdex, we pride ourselves on our global reach. Our high-quality modules, crafted in the heart of Sweden, are available for delivery worldwide. We are committed to bringing our sustainable and innovative designs to every corner of the globe, as long as there are no trade restrictions with Sweden.

How is transport provided?

The transport

We collaborate with external transport partners to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of our modules. Upon receiving your request, we conduct a thorough analysis to determine the most suitable transport method for you, which may involve a combination of axle and ship transport.

Given that our modules exceed the standard width permitted for road transport in many countries, they are transported under careful supervision. The regulations for road transport vary from country to country, and we take these into account on a case-by-case basis.

Being situated near a seaport, Norrdex is well-positioned to facilitate shipping, which often proves to be an effective method for delivering the modules as close as possible to their final destination. Our transport partner will provide clear information and work closely with you to select the most appropriate transport method.
How is installation and assembly taken care of?

At Norrdex, we empower our customers with the flexibility to install our high-end modules themselves. We understand that every customer’s situation is unique, and we’re here to provide remote support every step of the way. If a customer chooses to hire a contractor for the installation, we extend our support to the contractor as well. Our goal is to ensure a smooth and successful installation process, no matter who is carrying out the work.

What should we do to prepare ourselves?

The preparation

With Norrdex, you can enjoy a hassle-free experience. If you are bound by a permit, you simply need to have it ready before we proceed with the module installation.

Beyond this, you need not worry about the implementation. Whether you choose your own contractor or one of our partners, Norrdex will handle everything from construction and transport to installation and delivery. If you prefer to manage the process yourself, we’re here to guide you through each step, ensuring a smooth experience without any unexpected surprises.
How does the key-handover work?

The delivery

On the day of installation or shortly after installation, we will visit you to view the module with you. Regardless of whether the module has been installed by you, your contractor or one of our partners. After approval you will receive a warranty.


If any unexpected damage occurs during transport or installation, we will resolve this.

Maintenance & warranty

How many years of warranty do I have?
Upon installation, or shortly thereafter, we will arrange a visit to review the module with you. This applies regardless of whether the installation was carried out by you, your contractor, or one of our partners. Once approved, your module comes with a warranty of 10 years.

Rest assured, should any unexpected damage occur during transport or installation, we are committed to resolving the issue promptly.

Financing & payment

Do you also offer a leasing service?

At Norrdex, we understand that financing is a crucial aspect of your module purchase. That’s why we offer a variety of financing options tailored to suit the specific needs of each country we deliver to. Whether it’s a leasing arrangement or another flexible financing solution, we’re committed to helping you find the most suitable option for your circumstances. Our goal is to make the acquisition of a Norrdex module as accessible and straightforward as possible.

What are the payment conditions?

Payment terms

After personalizing your Norrdex Module, the total price will be a combination of the base module price and any additional options you’ve chosen. To kick-start the process, we require an initial down payment of 15% of the base model’s total cost. Upon completion of the design phase, another invoice will be issued for 15% of the base model cost plus the full cost of any selected options. As the module goes into production, an additional 30% of the total cost will be billed. Once the module is completed and stored at our facility, a further 30% will be charged. The remaining 10% is due upon delivery.

Invoices are issued with a 14-day payment term, giving you sufficient time to arrange the payment.
